CLAPS debut EP New Science provides a dark view into the world of minimal synth-pop. The St. Paul Minnesota trio plays exclusively analog synthesizers and believes in computer-free hands on electronic music. The analog instruments used on this album create a sound that may be reminiscent of the late 70's early 80's minimal synth and synth pop movements. The EP features three original tracks and three remixes of the single “Fold” by Chic Portier, Busy Signals and Sovietpanda. Their follow up EP No Party also includes three originals with three more remixes by Gay Beast, Soviet Panda and Nyteowl. Finally "Wreck" is Clap's first full-length released on 12" vinyl. All released by Guilt Ridden Pop.
