I don't believe there is a way the reflection would only occur as her foot passes in front of her (and not at all behind her). Because her extended leg doesn't stay equidistant from the floor it's a little confusing, but the reflection of her leg behind her would show in the reflection above where her extended leg would be as it passes in front of her. So she has to be going counterclockwise.
