Welcome to the Modern Radio Family, Oaks!

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be helping Minneapolis, fuzzed out, industrial rock duo Oaks with their next record. You may recognize Erica and Jim from various Minneapolis bands over the years. As Oaks, the couple have collaborated on a 5 song cassette and the kick ass 12″ Field Beat. We’ve been digging their stuff for some time now and have gotten to know Jim and Erica after they played the Modern Radio night at the Kitty Cat Klub awhile back. To celebrate this joint effort we got together for some cake. Things got a little crazy as seen below. Thanks to Sharyn for documenting the occasion.
